Advice How To Make Tea

Black tea:


For all teas you have to start boiling fresh cold (spring) water. Use 2 grams tea per cup of tea. For loose tealeaves you can better use a ‘tea-egg’ or any other tea filter. It is possible to add the loose tealeaves into the teapot but use a small strainer to remove the tealeaves. 

Black tea is ready after drawing it for circa 4 minutes. Depending on the strong taste you desire, you can draw the tea for more or less minutes. After drawing the tea, stir the tea well and if you prefer you can drink the black tea with milk, honey or a slice of lemon.  


Green tea:


For all teas you have to start boiling fresh cold (spring) water. Use 2 grams tea per cup of tea. For loose tealeaves you can better use a ‘tea-egg’ or any other tea filter. It is possible to add the loose tealeaves into the teapot but use a small strainer to remove the tealeaves. Cool of the boiled water to 75 degrees, this is to avoid that the green tea will get bitter.

Green tea is ready after drawing it for circa 3 till 4 minutes. Depending on the strong taste you desire, you can draw the tea for more or less minutes. After drawing the tea, stir the tea well.


White tea:


For all teas you have to start boiling fresh cold (spring) water. Use 2 grams tea per cup of tea. For loose tealeaves you can better use a ‘tea-egg’ or any other tea filter. It is possible to add the loose tealeaves into the teapot but use a small strainer to remove the tealeaves. Cool of the boiled water to 75 degrees, this is to avoid that the white tea will get bitter.

White tea is ready after drawing it for circa 5 till 6 minutes. Depending on the strong taste you desire, you can draw the tea for more or less minutes. After drawing the tea, stir the tea well.

 

Rooibos tea (Red tea):


For all teas you have to start boiling fresh cold (spring) water. Use 2 grams tea per cup of tea. For loose tealeaves you can better use a ‘tea-egg’ or any other tea filter. It is possible to add the loose tealeaves into the teapot but use a small strainer to remove the tealeaves. 

Rooibos tea is ready after drawing it for circa 3 minutes. Depending on the strong taste you desire, you can draw the tea for more or less minutes. After drawing the tea, stir the tea well.


Tea measurements per scoop:


  • 1 teaspoon is 1,5 till 2 grams
  • 1 dessert-spoon is 2,5 till 3 grams
  • 1 tablespoon is circa 5 grams


Tea poured with boiling water:


  • One teacup is equal to 150ml water.
  • One teapot is equal to 1-liter water.
